Migrant workers’ recruitment agencies through their umbrella body, the Uganda Association of External Recruitment Agencies - UERA - are considering starting an operations centre in the United Arab Emirates to attend to Ugandans working there.

Reports indicate that some Ugandans have misunderstandings with their employers, others are imprisoned and face deportation and they may not have legal representation and other necessary assistance.

The plan is yet to materialize but Ugandans have been encouraged to make use of the embassy in spite of its challenges.
