Claustrophobia does not both me, but the radiation exposure and ingestion of the iodine contrast stuff sounds scary.
Neither the radiation or what is contained in the contrast stuff is talked about.
Can you please address these two things?
Dies the radiation stay in your body and how does it take to get the contrast stuff out of the body?

How long does it take the contrast agent to circulate in the body? I’m really trying to understand if there is a wait time for it to circulate the body before starting the CT scan to get an accurate scan.

Can you start the CT scan immediately after insertion? Wait a minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes? How does it impact heavily swollen/hard areas, like tumors? Does the agent flow through those areas as fast or is there a wait time?

I'm seriously claustrophobic don't think I will ever be able to do this. I tried MRI and couldn't finish it almost died.

They put the person in backwards when I can mine I went in head first. It was a 2 min scan did not need to get changed

Well I've had one of these done I guess lower torso of body for two days I was laid up in the bed sick and I notice changes in my body and now I'm having blood pressure issues a year later and I wish I had a radiation geiger counter to check my body because I noticed when I'm near Electronics sometimes they malfunction and they really don't tell you anything about all these problems that you can run into before you get this procedure done like you're exposing yourself to 100 X-rays at one time
