Thanks GG! Yeah the middle finger position is the most versatile IMO if you want to mix it up with conventional phrasing. I'm totally new to slide and been contemplating on which finger to use... Middle finger it is!

Two things you said don't do is,
Ditch the pick
Don't put the slide on the little finger.
Watched Dai Pritchard play over a hour of slide Guitar playing last night with Rose Tattoo and he did both of what you said not to.
