There are references to UFOs ('vimana') travel in ancient Hindu texts.
Ex: 1. After defeating an evil king, Ram travels back to his land by a Vimana that goes where you desire. Human thought energy drives it (at least 3000 BCE)
2. Vishnu purana, which is about 2500 years old, mentions humans traveling to other lokas (planets). They stay there for a brief time and return back to earth, but discover that centuries have passed in earth time.

52:16 reminds me of something I've known about one of the greatest mathematicians to have ever lived - Srinivasa Ramanujan. When asked how he was able to formulate so many mathematical discoveries, he would often attribute his talent to the deity he worshiped, Namagiri. He would say the Goddess would speak to him in the language of mathematics when he would pray to her.
