Diana has a B.A. from University of California, Davis, an M.A. from Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. from Syracuse University. Her research focuses on religion and technology. Her latest book 'Encounters' is available now. Her previous books include American Cosmic and Heaven Can Wait.

Diana Pasulka is always fascinating to listen to and read. As an academic, she teaches us how to think and how to research what we are thinking about (in this case, the "phenomenon"--not just the UFO aspect of it). As a Professor, she makes the academic world look interesting again because she finds digging into ancient manuscripts sound enchanting...and she instructs us as to how important it is to correctly interpret what we might find in those dusty records.

As an important senior member of the "UFO community, " she brings man-in-the-street objectivity and skepticism (by her own admission, she was a "non-believer" before her trip into the desert with Garry Nolan and Tyler) to a subject that is clearly beyond our ability to comprehend. The story of her journey from UFO agnostic to knowledgeable insider gives us all a scaffolding for climbing atop this immense and, frankly, frightening new world.

Most importantly, as a human being, Dr. Pasulka is humble and completely unpretentious. She's smart as a whip but doesn't mind in the least admitting that she doesn't know something or that something is outside her "wheelhouse." When she is asked complicated questions, you can almost see the gears of her mind spin as she looks for the best answer. Amazingly, elegantly authentic.

On top of all this, Diana does more than a busload of priests and preachers at bringing Christianity and Catholicism out of the murky bog of religiosity and into the daylight of intellectual pursuit and truth.

She's got "it."

SO fascinating. Thank you, Vinnie and Dr. Pasulka for this conversation. A long time ago I wrote a graduate paper studying the appearance and message of "the Lady" in Medjugorje, Yugoslavia. From an apocalyptic message perspective, for a Mass Comm class. I've also followed UFOs most of my life and this blending of knowledge now is incredible!

Diana's book really had an impact on me. It really helped connect a few things that I may not have done otherwise. Her book is such an incredible story that it's reminiscent of a Dan Brown novel.
