Categorical syllogisms (The Trivium, Part 17)

Here we dissect the categorical syllogism by looking at each of its essential components, including its major, minor, and middle terms, and the conclusion yielded by the premises. Then we learn to identify the "figure" and "mood" of a syllogism, both of which will be useful in determining whether or not it is valid.
