How to Clean & Oil Clipper Blades | Wahl

Cleaning and oiling your clipper blades reduces friction and prevents the clippers from pulling and snagging as you cut your hair. Start with your Wahl® clippers, a cleaning brush and blade oil.

1. Use the cleaning brush to remove excess hair from the blades.
2. Put a drop of oil at the foot of the blade.
3. Put a drop of oil on the blade’s top corners and in the center, wiping away any excess oil with a clean, dry towel.
4. Turn the clipper on to work in the oil – and you’re all done!

When the oil is finished can one use shaving spirit to clean the machine?

I don't know I that little brush is useful. We all know hair gets in between the blades sandwiched between the plates. For a more thorough cleaning one would have to dismantle the blades.

I for one use an old toothbrush.
