Tony, I'd first make sure your media is OK. I've heard of corrupt discs being burned and causing similar issues. Try downloading the ISO and burning again. Also, the DL580 G2 is not supported per the VMware HCL, 3.5 U5 is the highest supported version, so I wouldn't recommend this setup for production workloads.

hi i tried to download one but they have so many version on the net. do u have any idea what are the different and which version to use for window 8 with 64bits?

Hi I am installing VMware ESXi 5.0 on a bare-metal server. Unfortunately, the installation stops abruptly after - what I think the initial unzip process. What I then get is a blank screen with a cursor blinking on the top left hand corner and no error messages. Can you please help
