Just installed WSX on a VM. Pointed Safari on iOS (from same home network) to WSX systems IP:8888 and it worked, able to control VM without installing any app on iOS, even using retina resolution of iPhone 5. Tried same with Chrome for iOS, buggy, kept crashing out, but briefly did work as well.

I realize that's not vSphere admin, but still, interesting, can power off and on VMs via iOS browsers.

Not generally available yet, we'll have to wait and see (I'm likely going with fresh install once I know I have the GA code, no need to upgrade my 5.1 rig really).

When accessing via Safari, I get "To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.0 or greater is installed." before I can even get to the authentication screen.

For Chrome, same deal.

So, it would appear that VMware WSX is where to head for a peek at what they're doing with HTML5, perhaps that sort of thing will help us for admin from iOS (and Android) in the future.

Dexter M., for some reason I cannot reply, but I don't happen to have an answer to your question, having never experienced failure to see a USB keyboard in my experiences. Hope you figured something out!

I just installed VMware vSphere esxi 5.5 hypervisor on my lenovo think-center machine with config: i5, 3.2gHz, >300gb SATA HDD, 6GB ram. However after successful installation I receive "ERROR 1962: NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND". I've tried 'formatwithmbr' and tweaking some of my BIOS setting like changing boot mode to legacy, auto and UEFI one after another, putting boot preference for HDD first etc. But none seems to work. I think BIOS and its settings are completely ineffective when it tries to boot, and I am not even taken to the esxi 5.5 hypervisor menu. Kindly help.
PS- The machine had windows server 2012 as running OS while installing esxi 5.5.
