This is a highly customized laptop that I've changed everything on down to the operating system and how it interfaces with the function keys on it.

Thank you, Chris. We're all System 76 and Pop here but Tuxedo is making some nice machines. It's so good to see native Linux software. (Had to use refurbed HP desktops and Thinkpads for about 2005-2016.)

Even though I'm a Windows kid, your channel has become a favorite on YT for me. I guess it's because you are one of the few who can still "think outside the box" and you create tools and solutions yourself instead of copying existing ideas. Cheers from Switzerland

Your last video on Tuxedo got me interested, so I gave it a shot on an older desktop and on a laptop. I have to say I am really impressed on both. Thanks again for all you do!

I have a tuxedo with NixOS and I3. I still did not finish making it perfect but super happy with the hardware. I will be definitely be interested in deep down how you use it.

I started at a new company this year and I did not like the available hardware options, so I chose a Tuxedo Pulse 15 with 32GB and Xubuntu on it (which was cheaper and better on paper than the suggestions from my company!) and I have been very happy with it. The build is great, I like the keyboard and I never had any problems configuring it to my liking. I now switched to Manjaro because I generally prefer Arch based distros due to the package management and everything still is great. So I can recommend these machines too for developers!

The keyboard layout of the laptop shown in this video is the ISO-layout. I prefer the ANSI-layout, because of the larger left shift key. I love 15/16 inch laptops, but would like to see more options without full numpad but with a dedicated "home, page up, page down, end" keys aligned from top to bottom at the far right hand side of the keyboard. Similar to the Slimbook Pro X 15 layout.

Good studio setup. I like all your videos. Everything you talk about. So much comfortable to understand your accent and pronounciation.

For a piece of art like that I would write my own LFS 😀
Congrats and keep the rubber side down 😃

Yea I'm one of those Linux users using an old Thinkpad as my first Linux laptop, been using it for a couple of years and rarely swap to my newer and more powerful (but smaller screen) Thinkpad running win 10 - This laptop looks awesome and I'm just thinking of upgrading and want to stick with Linux - thanks for the video

Love the curved 6 ply front porch! Leave it like it is, looks like you are actually working (ha, ha). Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year

An excellent choice. The killer feature of Tuxedo computers however is that they come with a built-in option to disable the intel management engine with the HAP bit to make US spooks very very sad.

nice. I've now switched to Linux Mint and I'm happy too. I recommend trying it.

Congratulations on your new daily driver. I keep ping ponging between Tuxedo or a Mac. Nick promotes them on his channel and glad to see you have one as well. Nice review. I’m really swinging towards Tux even though I use Apple mobile devices. This definitely helped with my decision making.

I don't care about Windows at all but I ALWAYS watch Chris's videos. Big love, kindest regards, Richard U.K

I am not a sophisticated Linux user, more of an amateur who aligns with the philosophy behind Linux. But I really appreciate any laptop that is built for Linux, The hardest thing for me any time I install Linux on a laptop is the freaking WiFi card, so it would be beautiful to have a device where that fight doesn’t have to happen.

Chris--We really could use a full tour (Techno Tim-like) of your office/studio/computer setup. I like the full-sized rack behind you. Very DistroTube-like. Perhaps a video for the studio setup and a compilation video of software setups. I like your desktop/WM and have moved to similar on my Linux desktops & laptops. I like your shared code on Github, too. Thanks again!

damn, i can't find any fault with this laptop, the hinge looks sturdy, build materials look solid, keyboard looks good, screen looks great, pretty awesome laptop from a small company with a lot of customizability

Damn, in that first shot you can really tell just how curved your camera lens' viewable area is!

You were really pushing it to fit the laptop in-frame whilst retaining a detailed image as much as possible!

I think this is the first time I have noticed it with anybody's video content and I don't think I'll ever be able to un-see it.

Anyway, random tangent....
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays Chris, I hope that you have a great few days with your family and enjoy yourself!

Peace Dude ✌️
