Trudeau looking into making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for federal workers

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Thursday that he has asked the Privy Council to look into making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for federal employees, as well as possibly requiring them for federally regulated industries.
"It is time that the 80 percent of Canadians who are doing their duty towards their neighbours, towards their loved ones by getting vaccinated, to be able to get back more to normal, more to regular life," Trudeau said during a press conference in Quebec.
Trudeau told vaccine-hesitant Canadians that there are "no more excuses" and "it is time to get your vaccine," like the 80% of Canadians who have received at least one dose, in order to get through the looming Delta variant-driven fourth wave this fall.
