What's so beautifully ironic from Zariel's perspective is: She used to be an angel who fell from grace by losing herself in slaughtering devils and demons. Now one of her kind, who rebels against her, manages to become not just a any divine servant but a god. Untouchable, and greater than she ever was.
That must sting. Badly.

Karlach becoming a Goddess of Perseverance, Freedom and possibly also Optimism would be a good match for Gale as a God of Ambition, because it sends out a message of hope that one's circumstances CAN be changed. That you're not stuck, you're not trapped, you're ALLOWED to dream higher and achieve better than what other's demand you stay mired in. They'd be good patrons for abuse survivors and paladins and clerics of Peace and Redemption.

Ironically enough, Karlach would have been the kind of Goddess that could have helped Gortash become better than the person he became.

This is one of the only 2 times I've seen a clip where I like Gale as a god. The other was when he tells Raphel that he can have the crown if he comes to Gale's realm to retrieve it which he of course can't do

Perseverance. She made it through 10 years in Avernus, survived illithid infestation, nearly had the engine in her chest burn out and kill her, and then she made it another 6 months in Avernus AFTER the entire adventure. That's goddess of perseverance material right there.

God, finally a damn happy ending for very probably the best character. I don't love God-Gale, but it's fitting that Gale, another one of the top-tier characters, is the one to fix Karlach's heart.

Karlach Cliffgate, once the Fury of Avernus, now the Goddess of Freedom. Those shackled by evil will look upon the stars and be comforted, as their shackles turn to ash in the holy radiance of her searing light. A fitting end for a woman of such unequaled love, courage, and compassion.

Honestly makes Gale seem a bit douchey that he'll ONLY save her like this if romanced. Same with Protags ONLY joining her in Hell if Romanced. You shouldn't have to romance someone to be willing to go all the way to save them.

Goddess of Fulfillment. Karlach makes the most of what she’s given and chooses to focus on the best of what she has. The fact she’s such a ray of sunshine despite everything that’s happened to her and her situation is amazing.

I just played god gale as an origin run while romancing Karlach and I was so upset you don't get any sort of option like this if you're playing AS Gale. All you can you do is tell Karlach is that you will answer her prayers if she prays to you. :(

As much as this is arguably the best ending for Karlach, it's still really sad. All she wanted was to live a NORMAL life, and her options are
1. Die in a blaze of fire from her heart destroying her
2. Go back to Avernus and fight against Zariel
3. Control the Netherbrain and destroy the world
4. Become a Goddess
