I’ve lived in Miami my whole life and I’ve never seen a storm approach Florida from the west coast like this. The warm waters in the Gulf no doubt led to this huge jump in strength.

This is starting to resemble Katrina where it jumped in strength leaving everyone scrambling at the last moment to prepare
