😮if this keeps up it appears Florida is going to have to add voting by swampboat, canoe and message bottle.

We had just moved to Port Charlotte from Colorado right before Ian hit -- we were zero prepared. Our flashlight batteries even failed right away. This time we are as ready as we can be.

I was up late watching the NOAA satellite image updates real time. This storm grew in diameter to nearly double its size over a 6 hour period. In the middle of the night I saw a clear eye form and the rotation was clearly visible in the satellite loops. This is a very dangerous storm, it is going to continue to grow in diameter and it will move a devastating storm surge into the Florida coast.

Don’t get stuck on the Howard Franklin Bridge like many who get caught off guard..Very disturbing situation if this thing slams into Tampa..😑

As a Floridiot born In Clearwater. DO NOT make plans to go to Disney right now. It only takes a hurricane to cross the state in a couple of hours. If you need a reference look up hurricane Charlie. You do not want to be stuck on highway to hell (I4) what does hurricane coming up behind you and beside you. I have family readying to leave. No one is messing with this thing. Some word of advice: if the Floridians aren't sticking around you don't need to be around.

I heard God say 2 will twirl! He told me about Helene, said bomb will hit. Told me about Milton. Before Milton he said hit them fast, with speed and often. I posted on fb about both, days before they were even considered. God has been speaking through me for years! This big stuff is new and we are in the end. I am hearing 2!!! Two hurricanes or two eyes, idk. God bless and keep us all!!! The signs are Jesus is ❤

If there is little or no shearing winds with height and SST's are 29-30c enroute to FL then as it is already a category 1 then the chances of explosive strengthening to low end Cat 4 not out of question!

So hurricane season runs until Nov 30? Someone needs to tell the guy who’s running for President that, since he said that it’s too late to be having hurricanes. Just saying, don’t want people to think he’s stupid or something.

Ok. So it's expected to weaken slightly as it moves north east. If we were still in July or August what would this mean? Florida would be obliterated?

NOAA says they have been able to steer hurricanes since 1947 with cloud seeding, why aren't they steering these or ARE they? After almost 80 years they must know how to - "The use of cloud seeding to alter a storm was not a new idea -- in fact, a weather modification program known as Project Cirrus accomplished the first cloud seeding of a hurricane back in 1947" and "Despite its ambitious nature, the successful seeding didn’t come without consequences: the hurricane, which had initially been tracking west to east and heading out to sea, reversed its path after it was seeded and made landfall in Savannah, Georgia, causing local destruction" (no date, By Emily Senesac NOAA, Almost Science Fiction: Hurricane Modification and Project STORMFURY).
