In this video, I go through how to select ETFs and then create a pie to hold them in in your Trading 212 account. Pies, which are pie charts, are a really intuitive way to understand what investments you have how they are performing and what proportions you hold then in.

This is the perfect guide for investing beginners looking to get started investing in 2024, all the main features are discussed.

Which ETF should you invest in to provide you with high growth & high returns over the long term?

People tend to choose Vanguard funds or Vanguard ETFs to invest in and whilst I create the pie, I select a 60 / 40 portfolio consisting of a Vanguard stock ETF and a bond exchange traded fund to go in it as listed:
Vanguard FTSE All-World ETF - ticker VWRP
Vanguard Global Aggregate bond fund - ticker VAGS

However I use these ETFs for illustration purposes only and there are other alternatives, often with lower fees, that have historically provided similar or sometimes greater investing returns.

I will cover information that you need to help with your research such as risk, investing costs, currency / foreign exchange, past performance and portfolio data.

Whether experienced or a beginner investor, if you want to use Trading 212 to start investing in exchange traded funds, whether with a lump sum or with small investment, this might be the video for you.

Whether you are younger and might wish to invest in 100% stocks / equity funds / ETFs for growth or you are getting closer to / in retirement / a more cautious investor, who might want income or less volatile portfolios, this video will have something in it for you.

This video will go through all of the information you need as a beginner investor on how to save and invest money to make your own comparisons and choices on what you feel is the best investment for you.

I have only briefly mentioned types of investing account in this video, but I make the assumption that you would use a stocks and shares ISA as a place for any exchange traded fund that you choose to mitigate any tax liability from investing.
