They have a free ISA Which is tax free, spread doesn't matter if your buying for 30 years time. I like it.

Thanks. Don't touch CFDs, spread not applicable if buying for long-term, love Trading 212, so much easier than any other app I've used. 3 years+ and never had a problem with them 👍🏻

They do not apply a markup on the spread outside CFD, I've verified and double checked this.

Don't think they are allowed to lend out shares when they sit in an ISA

I use it because of how easy is to. However, which one would be as intuitive as Trading 212? By the way, I lost almost 5000 euros on CFD, so yeah people, avoid it.

Personally I feel this app is best for those who aren’t investing much monthly/bulk sum however personally once you start investing over £1000 a month and/or reaching £20k+ in value that’s where you opt for a paid trading app in which the fees maybe £15 or so but you’re saving on the actual price spent.

Moral is, see how much extra you’re paying per share and how much you save from the paid app. Then subtract the monthly cost to the amount saved and see whether it’s worth moving over

In the process of finding a platform to begin trading on. Not sure what’s going on with T212 at the moment. Are they still FCA regulated & provide FSCS protection? All I can see from the website was some kind of Cypriot regulation. I got caught up in the Football Index scandal. Don’t want to go through anything similar again.

Excellent mate. Thank you for the heads up. I did not know they opened already.

I’ve got a question that’s been racking my brain. T212 only has ETF’s not actual index funds, why is that and is it done for a reason.
Vanguard S&P500 etf
Vanguard ftse 100 etf
Ishares tech sector s&p500 etf.

Why is this?

Fair comments Chris but these are small things and dont detract from my ISA with T212. Still a great platform for beginners and intermediates. Maybe one day when the portfolio is big enough i might move it to II.

What would you recommend? Is it better to use my bank's options for investing?

Benefits of CFD no stamp duty.. no commission fees or fx fees and their exempt from capital gains and the spreads are are actually very reasonable! especially on forex with a leverage of 1-30 you can seriously make some money IF you know what your doing.. but equally lose lots of money if you don’t 😂
Most other stocks and indices are 1-5 leverage so safer while still risky however any trading has the same ability to lose money if you don’t know how markets behave and don’t have a trading plan and risk management in place!

Share lending is opt in only and doesn't apply to ISAs

for cash isa purposes please note trading 212 does not allow transfer ins any more, presumable until they lower the interest paid out

Basically telling people to avoid traiding but directing it at the platform, most of what is being talked about is either optional or explained upfront prior to investing/trading

Why I don't recommend trading 212..
Proceeds to point what every trading platform in the entire world space and galaxy does and even subtly admits it in the video

They only lend shares on the invest account not the free isa
