My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40, 000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.

Honestly, your channel is ridiculously undervalued. The visuals, editing and commentary throughout is top tier.

My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in the US.

Great video,
Just one thing I wanted to say, you forgot to explain the other two buying options “stop” and “stop limit”. Other than that good job.

Thank you.

Nice Video Mitch. On the deposit thought, I think is worth to mention that the deposit are free up to 2k per year and there is a 0.7% fee thereafter, but from the other hand bank transfers are free!

Do you have to keep adding money into it or can you do it once and see what happens? I basically just want to invest a small amount of money once and see if I get a return without adding into it, ygm

Thanks Mitch, awesome videos as always.
Quick question regarding the pies, if you auto invest into the current shares on a monthly basis that are already in your pie but their share price has shot up, surely you don't want to automatically invest month on month? Instead, one is better off keeping an eye on the share price and investing manually when the share price is lower?

Watch out the pitfalls! Investing in foreign markets can be challenging due to foreign currency exchange (FX) rate. For example, even though I achieved a 3% total growth on my U.S. stocks, the current FX rates ultimately reduced my gains, resulting in a 2% loss. Now, to avoid locking in that loss, I need to wait for the dollar to strengthen against the pound. As a UK resident, this experience highlights the importance of focusing on investment opportunities that minimize currency risk, such as stocks or ETFs listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) or those traded in euros.

What I would be interested to find out is how all the FX conversion impact the value of my portfolio when I make purchases and sales prior to purchasing or selling them! Perhaps one should also load up the currency market say £/$ as monitoring the chart of the stock you're planning to either buy or sell! Any other suggestions?

Im a long term saver (over 20 years), i have a bit saved and starting to see some returns however thats mainly due to the interest rates being quite high. Im seeing talk on they may drop in 2024 and whilst good for my mortgage its not good for savings. Im thinking of a stocks and shares isa. Is now the best time to start whilst markets are how they are. Also do you just invest a lump sum or can i invest a bit every month
