Currently trying to host a site from a spare pc I have and pointing a fresh domain to it, setup a node.js server for the html, etc on the spare, and running ubuntu lws to host nginx. Ive setup the site config in sites-available and correctly configured it all to proxy to the ip of the spare. Nginx -t is saying all set. Once its all running though I cannot get to the site using the domain name. Any clues as to why? Or anything that wouldn’t flag but need to be fixed?

Never used Caddy, but I remember seeing it one day at an old co-worker setup and never remembered to check it out, neither remembered the name for me to search later.
It's awesome to finally see it again here.
I've used traefik within truenas, but found it a bit convoluted to bring into a local dev setup.
Caddy seems to be simpler, definitely will try it next weekend.

Hey i wanna host a game server on my PC. My IP changes every 24H. How can i setup this reverse proxy?

traefik makes me nervous because of the need for the docker socket being mounted in the same container where I'm exposing everything.

I proxy my vite dev server to a dev subdomain, it made working with my designer remotely soo easy.

just a question, I have a hosting in a droplet digitalocean ubuntu based and I have got my SSL certificates from cloudflare for my domain, and using Nginx with my container database to replace container IP with mine, is that right thing to do so !!!

caddy was stupid-simple to set up and use. i had no idea what i was doing, going in.
it's been running for years, without any intervention from me.
it might have taken 30 minutes, total, to install *nix on the pc, then caddy, and maybe ten minutes to learn how to configure caddy, then configure it.

How can you get a hetzner for $5 a month? and Coolify itself costs $5 a month as well right?

I remember thinking exactly like yall, how do I pronounce traefik?!

You can redirect based on cookie with code

Caddy needs to be build separately for the plugin that traefik already has like rate limiting and ipallowlist.
Also Coolify has many problems with tweaking your reverse proxy settings (like ipallowlist)
