The good thing is that since 2015, people in the USA( as well as Spain, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Italy etc) have started to live less on average. And this is mostly women's life expectancy reversing for the first time in human history(not due to a world war), a faster decline than for men. Life expectancy peaked at 76.5 in 2014 in the U.S., in 2015 was 76.4, in 2016 was 76.3, in 2017 was 76.2, in 2018 was 76.1 and in 2019 it was 76.0. In 2020 it is projected to fall to below 76.0 years old. So life expectancy for women is falling rapidly, and slowly for men too in nations that have major alcoholism and obesity, smoking increase, lack of healthy sleep, exercise and nutrition, nations like Spain, Italy, Finland, USA, UK and Germany, among others. So less children means housing and land prices will be falling a lot, as will cars. Demand will fall, therefore cheaper. Automation is set to replace 80 to 90% of jobs by 2040 currently in the U.S., which means that fertility rate of 1.71 is very high and can easily go down to half of that. Finland saw it at 1.87 in 2010, and at 1.57 in 2016, 1.49 in 2017, 1.41 in 2018, 1.35 in 2019 and 2020 is projected to fall under 1.30. This is good. USA has a lot of catching up to do to most European nations, Japan and Korea, which all are between 1.1 and 1.3 in 2019. Even China is at 1.50 as of 2019 and falling still. Replacement level is 2.2 in China and 2.3 in India( India has 2.3 kids per woman in 2019). It is very okay to have it fall to under 1%, because there are more than enough people alive now, many times more than there were even in the 19th century Europe and USA, and much more than even in the 1990s. So having it fall is a good thing. Let it collapse.
