iPad 9th Gen - a Student's Perspective [2021]

This is my students perspective on the iPad 9th gen. It packs the A13 Bionic Chip with makes your iPad experience feel pretty smooth and fluid in your college life. Doesn’t matter if you’re gaming, multitasking, taking notes, etc. The display is 10.2 inches and peeks at 500 nits of brightness. It doesn’t have a laminated display but it does have True Tone. For security we get Touch ID. The cameras have been improved. Specially the front camera since we get centre stage which is an insanely useful feature for students, since it’s an immersive way to do zoom calls, FaceTime for online classes. Accessories become a huge part on iPad. You got the Apple Pencil 2 and the Smart Keyboard which will elevate your student life experience to the next level specially since there are so many great and useful student iPad apps such as Notability! It doesn't matter what you study, even medical students. It is simply the best budget iPad in 2021.

The ipad 3 got me through three years of college, before upgrading to an ipad pro upon graduation. Crazy to see how far it's come over the years. I still use my ipad pro 1st gen for work to this day, with no problems 😊

I got this iPad yesterday and it’s soooo much better than my other ipads and iPhone. I’m loving the screen size for me using my textbooks and Netflix of course, lol. I’m only sceptical of leaving it in my bag cause I’m the only one in school with this type, and people have sticky fingers. But I’m looving this ipad

I have my Macbook Air for more intense tasks but I love the ipad as a secondary device. For digital note taking and video conferencing it can’t be beat. I really just use my Mac for typing papers otherwise I am mainly on the ipad. Can’t wait to use it for school and work since I work at a university.

I personally don’t have an issue with the design but there are some shortcomings with the accessories. I do think it’s time for a better type cover and apple pencil 2 support. I can see why the type cover wouldn’t be offered as it basically costs what the ipad does but maybe a folio cover. If the design of the ipad needs to change fine but it really isn’t a must for me.

Yes I love my iPad 8th Gen, I can't wait to go in store and trade it in for this new one, mostly the storage, and that all the accessories I own would still work, and yes I'm also a graphic design student, and you do need them both, it's great to write a document on the go, and finish some design work on a MacBook together they work so perfect

the only thing that keeps me from buying ang ipad is that I have an air2, so the non laminated screen of the ipad kinda feels like a downgrade in feel/touch even though everything else is better

for people that wanted the new style of ipad gen 10 (which used to be iphone 5s 🤣🤣) you just need to wait for the gen 11 come out (if they exist or announced) it will have 50% chance of having an ipad gen 10 to have the price like gen 9 (but i dont really think it possible tho but i still have 25% faith in it)

Bro I want to buy a iPad only for one purpose that is reading & annotating PDF files. Should I buy iPad or rather go for large size ereader like Onyx Boox 10.3 inch/13.3 inch device with eink display. Your input will be appreciated.

How about the port connection. Type c is the most common now. Transferring files thru cable type c is a huge help
