WHEN WILL THE 4K FIRESTICK UPDATE TO FIRE OS 7?

Late last year Amazon started to roll out its “All-New Fire TV Experience” and with this came the question and some assumption over whether the 4K Firestick would update to Fire OS 7. There is already information available about this, but it is still a question I get asked quite frequently.

I did flash some of my device's phones or tablets with an upgrade in the os and believe me it makes a difference. I believe Amazon want to sell the more of the more expensive 4K max instead of upgrading 4k to a faster os 7.

My OG fire stick is now a little more usable since an update. But maybe it’s Amazon way of making me buy the 4K stick.

Useful but disappointing. Age old question of Amazon wanting customers to keep ditching their older FSs and shelling out for newer replacements. Clever or greedy, you decide which.

The 4k stick has more processing power than the lite. So can handle os7 np

I'm really disappointed in the new 4k Firestick Max. This could push me to the cube or even an Android box. I love my 4k Firestick but C'mon Amazon you guys could have done more with it. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I’m still blocking updates to my 4K fire stick running the old ui And added storage and everything works great the thing I don’t like about OS 7 is that the icons rarely work great video thanks for sharing! By the way just got through watching sorry at work lol the reason for 2 comments

Yes Tanya.. I have a couple of early sticks but they are so painfully slow they are going to be going into the bin.. just a question though.. both of these sticks have a paid vpn on them if I uninstall them or factory reset them would I get those 2 ‘credits’ back?😳🤷 many thanks for your thorough video

Tanya, I currently run the older 2nd Gen OS 5 and want to add a 500GB external hard drive to my fire tv I've been trying for a solid month now with no success. It's floated to FAT32 but it's not working I don't get a USB option in my fire tv or a external storage in the storage section of the fire stick. Don't know what to do. Will external storage work with OS 5 gen 2 ?? Please HELP.
