Is the Amazon Firestick 4k Worth it in 2024?

Firesticks have been a staple in the Android TV Box world for a very long time now, but with the rise of more expensive and higher end TV Boxes, is a cheap Firestick 4k still worth it nowadays?

Great review! I bought my Amazon 4k Firestick in 2018 and I am very happy with it other then having only 8GB of storage and only 5 Gb available for apps as the Fire OS takes up 3GB of it. I plan on buying a Firestick 4K Max with 16GB of storage soon.

App performs very poorly. Duplicate audio play issues across streaming apps are so annoying. In order to fix you need to restore factory settings and start the whole process of adding, linking and logging on in order to watch.

i use this to turn portable monitor into a smart tv so i can use it as a monitor w.o having the wiring. Its pretty neat.

Short answer is no, . Having recently tried the latest fire stick, I was disappointed how laggy the apps were, and the overall navigation is quite poor and riddled with ads. Going back to freeview and a smart TV

Have to disagree on one statement tho Netflix depending where your streaming off and as of late hbo max and Hulu have horrible bit rate causing so much noise and deformities I feel like so I can see why anyone would use these shield for Netflix cause good god it’s so bad on some devices it’s unbearable and I don’t own a shield actually watching this to compare to get something for my older lg c7 since native apps are horrible
