The scene definitely hits differently when you realize Dumbledore was saying "Please" not bc he wanted Snape to spare him.
But bc he wanted Snape to go through with it knowing it was the only way to save Draco and to convince Voldemort that he was completely loyal to him.

😔 Rest In Peace Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. (August 1881 - 30th June 1997) The Greatest Headmaster That Hogwarts Has Ever Had.

Those were Dumbledore's last words: 'Severus, please'.

You can hear the small bit of shack in Snapes voice abit when he says the spell. Can tell it hurt him a lot to kill Dumbledore. 🥺

This is where film is better than the book. The "please" with the voice intonation. Not begging "dont kill me" but "please, kill, me." Genius.

I love how in the book Snape looked piss when killing Dumbledore while in the movie he's like "whar have i done?!"

Hands down, one of the most emotional moments of all the movies...and it wasn't because Dumbledore was killed, but because of Snape.

I recently just watched all these for the first time. I had seen the first two, but they bored me to the point that I never finished. This story started kind of, slightly, lame to me. Like James and the Giant Peach. *But by the end it became so good.* I get it, it was made for kids early on, but it got sufficiently darker and more serious that it drew me in, and the characters kept getting more and more depth.

By the time we got to the end, I was sold. This is a great story, and frankly, because of the seeds planted from the very beginning that didn’t come to fruition until the end (Snape in particular), I’d say the ending is better than even GoT (which I don’t think — overall plot-wise — is as bad as everyone else does, but it was so poorly executed).

So congrats Harry Potter for making me a fan after I started watching it as a historical curiosity. I had no reason to expect it would be anything other than a fun little lark for kids. I was presently surprised by the end.

The scene where severus told harry to be silent in the film, is the most shitty book to movie translation of the harry potter series, it killled the whole snape being snape vibe, in the books this vibe is preserved till the end, which made the book version a million times

When I first saw this I thought snap intentionally killed dumbledore but in part 2 of 7 i realized I was wrong and that dumbledore ask snap to kill him if when and if the time came and apparently because dumbledore said if he kills him would regain Voldemort trust

I literally cries when I was watching this clip in the movie… I can't believe Snape did that to him even when he trusted him the most…😢🥺😢😭

Theory: maybe Snape didn't actually use the killing curse. Maybe he used stupify and knocked dumbledore off the tower instead. Hence why the spell is blue. Plus Snape is a master of non verbal spells and has stated that spells can be changed with this.
So with the intent of stupifying dumbledore he cast this spell, but was able to change the words to make it seem like he was using an unforgivable curse.
