After knowing what their true plans were, it’s hard for me to not hear Albus beg Snape to do it instead of the other way around.

I always like to think that by saying “Severus, please” it’s almost giving Snape permission in the moment so he won’t be affected by killing in the same way Voldemort was (ripping your soul into pieces).

The movie gave it a different approach. In the book it's harder to see it was not arranged, because Dumbledore BEGS and Snape looks at him with hatred and kills him. Now we know the hatred was like "why did you ask me to do this?". In the movie, Dumbledore doesn't BEG, but casually requests and Snape looks guilty as heck so you already suspect something's fishy.

I’ll never forget the first time I read “The Prince’s Tale” chapter and realizing what that scene on “The Lightning Struck Tower Meant”. I was so shook I had to put the book down for a good 20 mins to let it all sink in.

It’s also telling Severus to end Albus’ suffering from the Hand Curse and from the Poison Water

I always thought, because Snape was a double agent and because of the deal he made with Dumbledore, so when Dumbeldore said that, I thought it seems Dumbledore was begging for his life, so the other Death-Eaters trust snape is 100% on Voldemort's side, but both knew what had to be done and they knew there was only 1 outcome out of this situation and Dumbledore was dying either way, because of the curse on his hand (and if Snape hadn't used his super knowledge of potions/charms and if he hadn't tried slowing down the curse on Dumbledore's hand, he'd be dead already) so this was quite the perfect plan to save Draco's soul and Make Voldemort trust Snape 100%.

Snape is the only character I went from not liking at all to being one my favorites

This reminds me of when Voldemort confronted Grindlewald, and he never told Voldemort who stole it from him in the book, but did so in the movie

In the books, he wanted Snape to do it to avoid being tortured by Bellatrix et al. He knew having Snape kill him would be a fast quick clean kill

He is either scared of being left alone unprotected or he cares so much with the only teacher who can understand him the most and forgive (and even protect him from the laws) his twisted way.

I’m happy that Snape was the one to kill Dumbledore. He gave Snape the hardest duties possible. He deserved to manifest his anger.

I love your videos and yes I realized the first time I saw the movie he was begging Snape to do it. I also saw that Snape’s wasn’t as green. It got the job done but not as brutally .

I knew Albus was asking Snape to kill him. Just look at Snape's facial expression as he performed the killing curse. That's not the expression of someone who means to kill, but he was forced to because of the unbreakable vow he made with Narcissa Malfoy. So Snape was forced to kill Dumbledore on two fronts, both so that Draco wouldn't have to.

I realised that on my most recent watch. It just makes this scene so much more heartbreaking

in the book, Dumbledore asked Snape, not calmly

I saw this film in the Royal Albert Hall in London and this is probably one of the most powerful scenes out of the entire series. Especially when all the students and staff are gathered round Dumbledore's dead body.
