The problem is the truck won't Recognize the key fob because the key fob is dead and if it really was dead the horn would be blowing and lights would be flashing I Have experience.

lol kinda pointless to demonstrate this with a working keyfob... when you put your hand behind the door handle, you could see the blinkers going off, meaning it detected the fob. you could've pulled the battery out :)

When I use the key to unlock the truck it sets off the panic system though. How you prevent that (other then replacing your battery!)

I haven't experienced this problem yet, BUT how will that truck start with a dead battery like there showing ?? Doesn't make sense....

guys, I don't know what type of sorcery or witchcraft this is, but it worked. In my case, the fob was not dead. there's some crazy RF interference in a few spots at our office parking lot (or at least that is what I am guessing as this is a continual problem but only at our office). In my case when opening the door with the valet key, it set off the alarm and without your little trick, I don't know if/when I would have been able to start the car and stop the horn beeping Thanks for posting.

When I use my emergency key to unlock the door the alarm goes off, then I put the key in the ignition and turn and it does nothing, alarm blaring, remote start disabled had to pull battery cables to get it to stop and now I don't have a truck that runs. My truck is a 2011 Ram 2500 it has a plastic turn key / fob, you don't use the brake to start the truck normally. Will that trick still work since mine isn't push start?

How to reset the keys but when I used one set of keys my truck started honking even though my trucks on I don't know when I use key them my truck just goes wild when Strait honk 2016 Ram 1500 Lone Star

What about if your key fob isn't dead and the truck makes zero effort to start, no clicking no nothing, battery is good all of the lights work

How did so many not know there is a key inside the fob?

Doesn’t work on mine regardless. The key won’t turn in the door. I cannot get into my truck at all.
My battery died in the cold while I was in the hospital and now I cannot get into my truck at all.
I don’t know what to do.

Man you saved me omg almost had to pay for a tow. I went to Water Country USA in VA and forgot I had my keys in my pocket while in the wave pool smh. Keys soaked wouldn’t unlock car had to search good ole faithful YouTube on how to overcome the obstacle. I landed on this video and man what a lifesaver. Headed home driving without a working key all thanks to you guys. I sure am glad I got a spare key
