Don't forget the negative square root as well because every complex number has two complex square roots ±(x + iy). In your case, it will be the negative version of your answer (-0.55 - 1.82 i). You can verify it by squaring it, and it will still give (-3 + 2 i).

You said n=(1/2) but I believe n = 2 in this case
