There is a risk that men will learn a very different lesson from the "Me Too" movement, which is to simply avoid as much interaction with female co-workers as possible. While this won't happen in some industries, in others it could have the unintended consequences of missed mentoring and social opportunities, which can make it more difficult to gain promotions later in their career.

What we are teaching many men, is that it is simply too costly and too risky for their own career to mentor, develop, interact with, or socialize with female colleagues. Too many men will simply stop mentoring junior female employees, because they do not want to be falsely accused of anything. I'm just saying, be careful of the unintended consequences.

I am a woman and psychologist who worked in college as a counselor. The reactions should be in proportion with the acts o the other person. Breaking his fingers or ribs should not be advised. Also something I tell my students is that also ejection" may constitute sexual harassment. Imagine that someone has gathered up the college and proposed someone and she or he screams no, or acts in a way that everyone is turning around and watching the poor proposer. This breaks his/ her self-confidence, is not meant as a friendly gesture, is an attack on his or her sexuality, and often causes him to be ridiculed and bullied. These constitute also cases of sexual harassment and more culprits are women for logical reasons, but also a man may do this, though a very immature one.
