I’m amazed every time I use my brand spanking new M4 Pro MBP. My first laptop was circa 1993. It ran DOS. It had a battery life of about 30 minutes if you were lucky. Only program I used was Lotus 123, an early spread sheet. My first MBP was a 2016 base model. That had a i5 with 8GB RAM and a 256 GB HD for $1499. Now if you buy the base you’re getting a smoking fast machine $1599. Amazing how far computers have come.

Agree wholeheartedly. I just upgraded my M2 MacBook Pro to the M4 MacBook Pro and it gets even better. Finally the M4 Pro chip is a Pro chip. The increase in performance core ratio to efficiency cores gives it a kick we didn't have before and the battery life just got better. Go figure that out.

At this point it is crazy to me that people are still buying windows laptops, even the old m1 laptops are still great for performance and battery life (for the average user at least) and they don’t cost that much anymore
