Can you please add a supply list. Is that glue, what's on the red cloth, what grade is the sandpaper, what kind of scraper is that?

You are just adding filler to a crack. What it needed was wood glue and clamps with a bow tie on end or a brace underneath.

Mine has a crack too... but since it's an epoxy table, I'll just pour epoxy to seal it

All that work just to paint over the crack? Why bother with the glue and sanding, just put in some putty and paint over it.

You'll find these "fixes" on furniture at Ross, TJ Max, Burlington, and Homegoods. My bench ($200), unfortunately didn't even have this flimsy effort put into it, so I gotta refinish it myself. Look that stuff over good.
