i soak the bottom half overnight where the split ends then glue and clamp lets the wood fibers compact easier then as it dries fibers are relaxed to new stresses.

Yeahhhh, sooo... I had an issue pretty much exactly like this. Except the split in mine isn't as wide. I wasn't thinking or paying attention and already glued the top portion of the crack together and clamped it about roughly 30ish mins ago. I just used a piece of cardboard to spread the glue around.
However, I wasn't thinking and I didn't put any glue on the bottom half of the crack. Is there anything I can do now to put glue into the bottom half of the crack?
I was thinking about re splitting it if the glue hasn't yet dried completely and using a large "horse" syringe or a "wood glue" syringe. Whichever one you want to call it. Do you think that would work?

This actually works I’ve seen a teacher do this with school glue on fence wood when I as in wood shop and it was as if the seperate wods became one.
