How did they do this in 1978? Was it a screen? I think they had 125, 098 less item variations to worry about. “Here’s your burger, fries and soda, now get the fuck outa here!” I miss that.

I work at a McDonald’s. For 2 large smoothies on the machine there is a button after you select the flavour that says multiple. This would have let you make both larges at the same time.

Watching this brings back memories of when I used to work at McDonald’s. Starting as a crewperson in 1982 and worked off and on up the ranks to 1st Assistant Manager for McOpCo stores then for franchisees as a Swing Manager until I stopped for good in 1994. Definitely not the same as it was back then but still have the basics like the window steps when taking orders (suggestive sales is consistent with this fellow), cleaning and restocking as you go, etc. it’s been 30 years since my last McD’s gig. Wonder if I could still do it when I become a retiree lols.

We have to say, "Welcome to mcdonalds. Will you be using your mobile app today?" and half the time they don't answer and just yell "Hello!?!" Because they think we're already robots 😅

I work at McDonalds currently and holy crap this is a huge difference from screens, cups, machines, setups and all of that like on our screens it’s a more simple menu and we don’t have that many items. Like I’ve never heard of McDonalds giving either a book or a toy in a happy meal, it’s always been a toy.
