Free food while working is honestly the right thing to do. I do like one free meal as it does it’s job and gets a person by. Especially in the food industry. It’s hard to serve hot meals all day and then revert to cherrios and can peaches for lunch as the server. Caring bosses are great.

My boss wasn't allowing us to eat without paying full price in our breaks, he even wanted us to pay for the water so we used to call a delivery from a different store to our job in order to eat.
The place I worked is now closed 😊

I worked overnight at a store that barely cared what we did as long as the line didn’t build up and we didn’t set the building on fire, lol. I ate so many chicken nuggets and combined so many different items together, it was great. This one time, someone didn’t know what sauce he wanted with his food, so I just gave him one of everything. And we’d give out water to the drunk people who came through regardless of whether they ordered it or not. They were actually the nicest and chillest people who came through, and they’d always be grateful for the water and tell use how much they our store

We all just snagged fries when we walked by anyway lol. Everyone wanted to get stationed moving, salting and tossing fries 🍟. When I worked there in high school, Celeste (bless her heart, I didn't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English) would occasionally "accidentally" make a spare batch of cookies and share them with us in the break room. Thanks Celeste, I still love you

I remember working at McDonald's 35 years ago and you could make yourself whatever you wanted for your meal break. Fresh off the grill 👌

Our manager ate three patty fish fillet sandwiches for free while we got a %10 discount. Made us throw away everything and once docked my pay for three bucks when I ate a fry as I was throwing food away. The manager was married to the owners daughter. He was a real POS. So glad I kept at school got out of that hell hole.
