Why is change in internal energy equal to the negative of the work due to non conservative force? Does this also mean that the final internal energy in a system is always lesser than the initial energy of a system?

A force applied (like the one I do when lifting the book) is also non conservative, but it is not changing mechanical energy into internal, right?

Mr. P, why does force of friction not equal change in internal and mechanical energy? Why is that only for force applied?

Why ∆E of the system = ∆ME + ∆ internal E ?

Sir one question wave is disturbance of medium through which energy is transferring but sir there is no medium in electromagnetic waves.

Hi Mr. P.! First off, thank you so much for your videos! They are probably the only reason I managed to get a 5 in AP Physics 1. Now, I am using your videos to self-study AP Physics C! I do have one question about this video, though. It's probably a stupid question, but what do you mean by applied force (do you mean a force external to the system?), and how is this different from a nonconservative force? Thank you so much!!!

Hi Mr.P. i really really need your help, i'm a selflearning student, i droped out of school last year and decided to be a selflearning studend and now i've finished my highschool here in home and i've never done any final exams for my grades in highschool i've never went to any highschool , so do you think i will be able to only do the US diploma exam and go to college without having gone to any highschool??
