You could have talked about him for a couple more hours and not scratched the surface...and I'd be there for it.

There ain’t gonna be nothing like this man’s career ever again. The 20th century produced some unique characters and he was one of music’s greatest producer/facilitators. And I am sorry Bo, but my man was the best type of messy.

I don’t think he gets enough credit for how incredible he was with Jazz. We know about R&B Quincy, but because of the decline of Jazz in pop music, we don’t realize how cold he was with it.

Love the Miles Davis (correction and) reference 👍🏾

Great tribute as always Bo. I would love to hear you, Sean, and Spencer do a deep dive into the brilliance of Steey Dan. Their 72 -80 material is up there with any great musical run in the history of music.

Man, your breakdown on certain aspects of the life and career of Quincy Jones was almost as AWESOME as the man, himself! R.I.P. "Q."🙏

Thanks so much BO!! You said so many great things I going to replay and enjoy it again. The Q was an amazing man and talent, who made the best of everyone. Bo you captured that well! thanks!

14:30 Bro, this is such a profound statement. I'm a music producer and I've always felt like I have a knack for figuring things out which is why I've also been successful in my marketing day job. I've never heard someone break it down like this. Going to clip this to show people lol. Thanks, and great segment on Quincy.

I so agree, you can't really talk about a Quincy sound. Like a true musician he kept evolving; we got a new sound about every 5 years. He turned the adversity caused by medical trauma into a new talent dimension.

Great stuff per usual Bo! I would say Quincy's "Audacity" had a lot to do with how he saw himself and other black musicians coming up through the 50s-70s. And that audacity, in my mind, is what makes him a revolutionary. Not in the sense that this mf'a would lay his life down for the cause, because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't (lol). But it for damn sure makes him more of a revolutionary than how most of these sucka's portray Jay-Z (NFL halftime partnership) or any other of these Hip-Hop moguls or Comedians for that matter. See Kevin Hart.

When my girl first told me he passed away first thing I thought about was the fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Lots of people don’t know he actually moved to Louisville ky first before moving to Seattle. In the Portland neighborhood. Not too far from where a young Muhammad Ali was born right around then

You talking about Me. Jones like a top notch GM and coach.

No doubt about it Quincy Jones is responsible for way too much music to only act like all he ever did was Off The Wall and of course Thriller. Matter of fact that's what people should do look up all his other music that has nothing to do with the iconic Michael Jackson.

I feel i didn't Mr Q
but his work ive always known.

In the heat of the night n
Fresh prince of bell air were on point.

He was diverse cos i would have never guessed they n some great music hits were produced by 1 person.

May he rest in peace

As he goes on, Bo just keeps getting more and more hyped. The energy alone does Q right…

Its not the best drum fill Bo, but thinking that up in the moment in 1979...crazy!

Doesn't "Audacity" imply selflessness of what you want to accomplish on a greater scale?
