Americans come in many shades and sizes. It is how we have evolved to embrace those differences and see the beauty of all cultures that I celebrate on Mr.Kings Day of Remembrance.

MLK, Jr. felt, towards the end of his life that he was afraid that he was desiring to integrate his people "into a burning house".

This proves to be true. We have made no real strides within this country, but that is on the advent of changing. This country is about to pay for all that it has done.

What a great man. As a child, as a white child, I wrote a paper about his meaning, to me, back in 1969, that got published by my local newspaper. This was in North Carolina, too. His influence now carries over into my twilight years.

I am not American, but to me and mine, King day is a symbol of hope that things can change and that change can come about in a ripple effect years later. Most people are good in this world, and there is a difference between doing whats right by the people. For many men bow down to conformity, but when the line is drawn where they do have to act, then their morality takes over. King was one of these men.

This is the perfect day to remember; nothing is about "skin color"; it is about your heart! We're all in this together. If anything, we are divided by "class." Narcissistic people divide us; conquer us, and make us unhappy. Lets not let that happen! And, no one is "without class" because they are less privileged with "money." Who cares! Who taught us that? Forget it; I already did when I was called a "white supremist" by ignorant people. I could care less about color; I care about the heart and soul! They come in ALL colors.

He spoke out against the Vietnam war and against war in general - exactly a year later he was murdered.
