Did you know that AVN (avascular necrosis) can affect multiple joints, like the hip, shoulder, and ankle? Generally people think it spears to other joints just like infection but that’s not true. Most cases of AVN are either idiopathic (without any known cause), or due to excess alcohol intake, steroid intake or blood coagulation disorders. Most commonly blood clotting disorders like sickle cell anemia can affect multiple joints because the cause of disease is always present in the body, but this is not a common scenario except some parts of central and western India
