Did Ichigo use Sonido in the Bleach TYBW?

Did Ichigo use Sonido? With a unique sound effect and becoming untraceable, Ichigo's movement in episode 7 of the Bleach anime's Thousand Year Blood War has all of the hallmarks of a Sonido. Although, could that really be the case? I briefly look at the evidence and provide some insights from both sides of the argument!

Ive heard talk of this. It sounded like sonido from before. If it is then great attention to detail given from the production team.

I like it more if it’s sonido. Like In that moment he was so angry and upset he instinctively used Sonido instead of Shunpo

The sound effect really sells it as a sonido, it has that distinct bass/reverb sound.

Also his reiatsu turns red later, so i believe he was using his hollow powers

It's neither sonido or shunpo. It's a combination of those two, plus bringer light and hirekyaku. Which is why the audio affect is slightly different. Lots of characters have unique sounding movement techniques

After re watching the TYBW multiple times.

Ichigo can be seen using his Hollow Power's in along side his Shinigami powers.
Mainly probably because of the fusion of his FB and Shiinigami powers.

I say it's Sonido. The fact that they said it "disappeared" is more fitting with Sonido.
If it were Shunpo, there would have been a spike, because it exerts Reiatsu

I think it was sonido. Remember his powers are hollow based. So it would make sense.

Honestly it's very possible that he did use sonido, since after all his fullbring and hollow powers are both combined into one which have been fused with his Shinigami powers, so he might have subconsciously tapped into that power so he was able to use that ability, or like you said that he went so fast that it moved out of the sensory range of the SternRitters.

the thing is ichigo being a hybrid probly used sonido without realizing it, after all one of his zanpakuto power is the power of a hollow so it wouldnt be surprising.

I think it’s more likely that Ichigo used a combination of Flash Step and Bringer Light, similar to Ginjo. Bringer Light also can’t be sensed according to CFYOW, and when Yhwach said Ichigo using his full power awakened memories within his Reiatsu, in both the anime and colored manga, Fullbring Bankai Ichigo had the green Bringer Light…Light, surrounding him just before he awakened his Quincy power and broke out of the Jail

And Ginjo and Hikone are people that were able to mix bringer light and Shunpo. And bringer light doesn’t always emit the green light as Tsukishima, Ichigo and Ginjo performed it without the green light before

Not only it sounded like sonido, Ichigo does have hollow powers. So yes, he can use sonido.

The whole point is that Ichigo is a hollowed Quincy that became a soul reaper being that Quincy’s is hereditary and soul reapers are taught to be so

I like the sonido theory ! BUT : if you really pay attention and compare the sound from this scene to the sound effect used for Sonido usually (take the scene on YouTube where Rangiku fights with an arrancar and explains what shunpo is), you WILL hear IT IS a little bit different. It doesn’t sound like shunpo but it doesn’t sound EXACTLY like sonido either.
Therefore, 4 possibilities :
- they decided to use another sound effect for shunpo because it’s been so long since they adapted a shunpo scene in anime ; or it is a pure mistake
- it is sonido but they modified a little bit what it sounds like
- it was a combination of shunpo and sonido
- it was a combination of shunpo and or sonido and or hirenkyaku (at this exact moment he just broke the Quincy jail that made his Quincy powers come to the surface).

If you have a better explanation or answer coming from the future scenes we didn’t see yet, don’t say what is. I don’t want SPOILERS.

Sonido, it makes sense that when Ichigo became enraged, he subconsciously relied on the hollow. Especially with how he essentially conquored his hollow form and merged, Sonido would be something he could do but just isnt aware of it, since he's plenty strong enough to do it.

Another factor is that Flash Step requires some level of concentration to use since you need to channel reshi, which Ichigo didnt look like he was doing.
