Here’s a few clarifications for Sonido in regards to the manga:
-Zommari is confirmed to have the fastest sonido via gemelos sonido. That doesnt mean he has the fastest base speed, but no other espada has been able to replicate clones of themselves that bleed the way he has
- Sonido removes the reiatsu signature of the user. This makes it the best movement type for ambushing( See Grimmjow)/ Blitzing/ mixing someone up as you can’t tell which way they come from unless you intuitively make a hard read

-This is also why Zommari’s sonido fooled Byakuya, but Soifon’s afterimages ( and Ichigo’s initially) almost always get called out. Any experienced fighter can just follow the reiatsu signature, though they need the physical reflexes to defend against it.
-Using the information above, Ulquiorra did NOT blitz Ichigo simply because he was that much faster than him, but more so a combination of his high speed and unpredictable and undetectable reiatsu signature. Hence why Ichigo couldnt defend himself in time because he was unaware of where Ulquiorra even was coming from

- Prior is basically confirmed when VL Ichigo slips through Ulquiorra’s pequisas using the same sonido
- this is also confirmed when Grimmjoe completely makes a fool of Ichigo after blitzing Rukia, making him flail wildly cause he had no idea where Grim was coming from
- this is also again confirmed in TYBW when Ichigo instinctively uses Sonido and is completely undetectable by every single experienced Sternritter until he attack Yhwach and Jugram.

The way I described it to my friend once that made is sense is that:

- Flash Step is extremely practiced movement to increase speed
- Hirenkyaku is kinda like ice skating since the Quincy effectively glides on the reishi
- Sonido is akin to teleportation like Aizen's butterfly form since you can't easily track a Sonido user's movement.

Yea thats why ichigo used sonido not shunpo in ep 7 of tybw cuz shunpo needs focus while sonido is brute force and he wasnt stable at that moment

Interesting note is that Shunpo is implied to be a form a spacial manipulation. In one of the databooks, it is described as "moving large distances near instantaneously with a single step."

I also remember reading, though I don’t remember where, that Sonido was harder to track because it didn’t disturb the reishi in the air as much as Shunpo, so it was easier to slip past an opponent's reikaku and pesqisa, their spiritual pressure sense.

And then theres Ichigo, using Sonido when we arrived in the soul society, gave all the Sternritters a big surprise when they suddenly lost his presence 😂, also he has all 3+ fullbring at his disposal so he can create a new technique of his own

Sonido is more of a teleport than a high speed movement which is why it slips past pesqisa and is how tosen dodged hisagis guiatine attack prior to putting on his hollow mask.

Flash step is the ability for a shinigami to physically kick off of reishi for a quick burst of speed and is their primary source of high speed movement considering they can't fly in soul society like they can in the world of the living and hueco Mundo due to the density of reishi in soul society

Hiernkaku is a Quincy technique that allows the user to envelope their body in a thin layer of reishi to then manipulate said reishi to propel themselves forward at high speed while avoiding friction as a result of bending reishi around them so it doesn't resist their movement.

That explains the explosive sound of sonido, the brute force of the move

Shunpo is actually made of 3 specific movements one before the jump the burst to the jump then coming out of the jump. The differences between those 3 moved can make a flash step have different uses. Hirenkyaku actually creates a stream of fast moving Reishi under their feet to ride. Sonido creates an echo of the users Reishi during a burst of speed to confuse the enemy. Sonido was developed to hunt other Hollows by Hollows.

That's makes Oetsu really fast and undetectable because he has sonido like speed unlike Kirinjis Hoho which is a basis for flash step.

I like to think sonido is akin to teleportation to s degree, due to other beings not being able to react to it as quickly as they would other high speed movements, which is why most arrancar could react to others just as quickly

Even Ichigo should be able to do that.

I'm pretty sure that sonido is the most usable of the three given that white had access to both sonido and shunpo and opted for sonido, all the speed of shunpo with the added bonus of being able to slip passed enemy detection is just better
