QUILT AS YOU GO: QUILTING AND ATTACHING BORDERS WITH SASHING

Показать описание
Quilt As You Go: Quilting and Attaching Borders with Sashing. There are many different methods of quilt as you go. In this tutorial, I teach you how to quilt and attach your borders using sashing strips. This is the most common method of quilt as you go.
I like to use my machines decorative stitches when I use the quilt as you go method. I feel like it gives my quilts more character than when I do traditional quilting.
In this tutorial I cut my front strip 1" and my back strip at 2". I ironed the 2" strip in half. That is a common practice for using strips using the quilt as you go method and I honestly can't tell you why. My guess is that it gives more stability and strength to the quilt. I hope you enjoy this method of quilting.
Crafting made fun and easy! Join me as I teach you how to make beautiful crafts and quilts using different techniques.
I get a lot of questions regarding the sewing machine that I am using. The machine that I am using is a Janome 9400 QCP.
