US Reaction if Russia Attacks Finland

The extent to which the United States would get involved in a conflict between Finland and Russia depends on what actions Putin takes. As a finnish person I'm more than happy that tomorrow we're finally getting in to Nato. We should have applied years ago. My grandparents used to live in Karelia, but lost everything when Russia attacked Finland. It felt bad to see the tears in their eyes when they told me about how they had to leave everything behind when Russia attacked. I personally couldn't care less if the border with Russia would stay permanently closed. Much rather be part of the western community where people have similar goals and ways of life.

Sweden and Finland also have an agreement to come to eachothers aid, defence if one is attacked by Russia.

Finland and Swedens military is organized to function as a whole, with the nations covering different important parts of a military, complementing each others pros and cons. Finland for example has a significantly much larger ground army, which makes sense due to Finland bordering Russia - while Sweden focuses a lot on the air force, naval force and so on.

It's basicaly a symbiosis.

Finland is formally joining NATO on Tuesday this would not just bring in the USA but also every single other NATO country Russia would be absolutely decimated. That 30 countries against Russia which is currently struggling to beat Ukraine it would be a really dumb idea to track Finland it’ll be 31 From tomorrow and 32 soon once Sweden join too.

Finland already has 56 upgraded M270 (with ATACMS ability) and on the whole, the strongest artillery of EU NATO.
Also, if Finland was ever attacked, I wouldn't think twice before immediately going there to help them fight. I think a lot of my fellow Swedes, as well as Norwegians and Danes would feel the same.

As a member of NATO now, it’s an attack on everyone in the alliance. If Russias attack on Ukraine is to Finland (as a random example) imagine what an attack on NATO would be like.
