North Shore home collapses onto the beach

A house collapsed onto a North Shore beach Monday morning after a weekend of high surf.

Wow, high surf at the North Shore?!!? Who could have anticipated, better blame climate change and sea-level rise rather than people building on sand on a beach known for high surf. So typical local mindset, build next to a volcano, blame State when lava flow burns down their house or cuts off only road to town, build next to a mountain stream, blame State for not telling em the stream overflows during heavy rain, I like live in paradise and turn off my brain.

News channel should go back to the 1950's and look what the tide waves use too do in that area houses up rooted from there foundation and move across the highway

Question you need to ask is:
Why would you build your house on the sand where there is no foundation?

That is an homeowner problem. Why should my tax dollars go to save a privet land owners I can see if it was a park or a road, which is state and city controlled. But this is privet land owned buy a person. Same as if a rock rolls down a mountain, and crushes a home. Is the state or city going to save them???? If it's not their mountain, it's not their problem.

I’d love to scavenge these homes for items and goods. Lotta homes in Utah that are abandoned time capsules that are virtually untouched
