The wise man built his house upon the rock and the foolish man built his house upon the sand.

Why were these houses not torn down and all the material removed before allowing this trash to float away and become other people’s problems . It was public knowledge these houses were going to come down years ago .

Building on the beach should be outlawed, and it sure as hell should not be insured!

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."- Isaac Asimov

☝️Builders and county officials, who issued those building permits, should be held accountable for cleanup and other associated expenses. Common sense, never challenge mother nature.

Allowing massive digging of our ocean floor to place wind farms for green energy. It’s killing whales, affecting migration of sea life and economic loss for fishermen.

Niçe propaganda Climate Change nonsense. I am in SC and live on the beach now for over 50 years. Not 1 inch higher is the water levels. Explain that...

It’s not erosion or sea level rise. The barrier island sand bars migrate. Alway have. Always will. All these houses were built more than 20 years ago far from the water.

Hurricane Isabel in 2003 took down an entire block or more of oceanfront houses in Kitty Hawk. It was only a cat 2 hurricane when it made landfall. Hurricane or not, this stuff isn't new for OBX. Oceanfront property owners take big risks in return for big ROI on rentals.

Oh no climate change has struck again in just this beach! She needs to do something about this! How about not building a house directly next to the ocean! Everyone knows water levels change over time!

So they will be building more houses on the beach. Who is underwriting the insurance?

Sea level rise? Wouldn't that make rivers rise also? I have a river 500 yards from me that dumps directly into the pacific ocean 1.5 miles away. The river aint rising, only during high tide.
So I'm calling cap! 😂
