A real good acronym I use for the steps to follow is; IDEA
Identify the problem
Develop solutions and goals
Execute these
Assess the previous steps

Your question "how to handle dissatisfied customers".... It's crazy that when I was in my first corporate job (I think) as a receptionist, I heard someone say, never apologize. They say companies should not apologize. Because if they do that, that is proof that they were to blame for whatever.

How do you stop a future employer from stealing your idea? Some interviews require you to describe how you would solve departmental problems and implement in new processes and changes. An employer can interview 25 top tier candidates just to find an answer and then give the role to an internal person. I have seen this happen.
