He acts like we just need ANY metaphysical ideology to stay sane - whereas I am a Catholic because I believe it’s TRUE. If I didn’t believe it was true, I wouldn’t keep practicing it to “stay sane.” He pushes occultic ideas because he picked it up from Carl Jung. Trust me, I’m a former occultist who used the Jungian idea of the “collective unconscious” to rationalize channeling and automatic writing, activities that could’ve gotten me POSSESSED! At least this is what caused my conversion, but it rubs me the wrong way that many Catholics act like JP is defending the faith by pushing the occult and reducing our Holy Religion down to something that just makes us feel good, as if we’re too mentally weak to face reality - it’s really the other way around.

It's with clips like this that Peterson digs his rabbit hole deeper till we can no longer have any confidence in what he says. He's one confused man who's determined to get us all just as confused as he is.
