In Dragon Ball, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and other Z Fighters use gravity training to increase their power levels, but would it actually work? In this video, I go over the science behind gravity training and give my answer to that question.

Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Super, and the rest of the franchise has inspired many people to start their own fitness journey. It was actually one of three great inspirations for myself when I was 11. Did this anime or manga inspire you to start your fitness journey? Let me know in the comments.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to train in a gravity room? Assuming it wasn’t like 450Gs

Goku's hair somehow also stays the exact same shape in over 100x gravity. Guy must be using some real nice product

It's actually theorized that the human skeleton alone, could support up to 90g's, but that's under the assumption you're just standing and doing literally nothing else. Your bones would start to crack even under 10g's just by moving, but it is theorized that the most elite of athletes could withstand about 3 to 4g's and that's with plenty of maximum effort, while strongmen like Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, better known as the Mountain that fucking rides, could take just a few steps under 4.6. At most, you could get to a point where you could survive under 5g, but anything more than that is just beyond the human body to handle, with anything below that being a seemingly impossible possible feat. When it comes down to long term survival though, 4.6 g seems to be the upper limit a human could survive.

another serious limitation we have is the stress out joints can take. hyper gravity might be doable in the short-term but it would take its toll on you in the years to come

Logically speaking, it would work (assuming you don't become paste), as it would increase how heavy something feels. For example, a 20kg plate would feel 10x heavier if gravity was 10x stronger.

If gravity was slightly higher than normal then it would also work, as you mentioned.

Basically training under this gravity would be like training or doing a gym session with 1 to 3 baby elephants on your back...

I think incremental training no move 2g at max is sufficient at .1 increments of increasing also increment decreases to see how well you adapted and prevent some type of shock and train your mind to your newer capabilities.... I had years of thinking

Imagine laying down and your eyeballs falling through your skull because they are too heavy

How would this affect your organs tho like would the organs adapt over time to handle that gravity

You’re wrong. The body adapts and evolves. Just doing 2gs and getting accustomed to it. The moon has less gravity and we can jump 10 feet vertical. And the astronauts readjusted just fine

You don't loose strenght so quickly, once gained you could maintain it lifting heavy in the gym and doing all sorts of dynamic strenght exercises from calisthenics and olympic weightlifting to sprinting etc. without having to do them too often. Also you keep most of the strenght you have gained for life as long as you are not completely slacking off

This always makes me think of the movie John Carter.

we need gravity chamber and start with 1.5 g and trough time increase litlt by litle the body will adapt on that, need time, thats it

I enjoyed this video. But can we get a Goku Routine?Tryna look like the GOAT

Something like 2g to 5g should be possible for humans to train in and might even give good gains IF used in moderation. Obviously you can't train like 2 hours everyday in like 2gs but even just 10 mins would be absolutely crazy for gains.

How many potions or sensu beans do you need to heal broken bones and torn muscles? For every rep or set you do at 2-3 times gravity.
