it's lucky i got my 1950x in yr 2018/19
and now i moved to mac in 2020,
and 1950x still a beast for video editing, especially i've just purchased topaz package for old photo / video AI edit, it's calaculation depends on CPU and GPU
i've got my old gtx1080ti inside the 1950x, it should work until 2030

That's a whole lot of EXPENSIVE hardware. Top notch for its time. No way I would have that stuff in a dusty garage.

Honestly the reason I might get it (i hope) is because it's less expensive, performs like an i9, and I don't really care about DDR5 tech. Can't really afford it yet when 16-32gigs is over 100$

You've shown me you have one in your garage. NOTHING you've shown answers the question.
Care to take another shot at actually telling us the 1950x is worthwhile? Like Can you use it for anything but hosting RGB lighting?

My 7950x is 4X faster than the Threadripper 1950X in everything... especially for productivity work.
I do video production/editing and CAD design work and I wouldn't be caught dead with that thing.
