It was Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean Second Story that cemented me as a tri-Ace fan. I would even say it was the pinnacle of their work, and I'm glad to see you covering one of my favorite games in that Ethos style!

Lenneth remains my favourite female protagonist across all RPGs, there's no way in hell I can forget Valkyrie Profile. To me, Star Ocean 2 and VP were the pinnacle of tri-Ace's work and of Sakuraba too for that matter.

The sequels were good games too, but VP1 is truly a classic in my eyes.

People learned about ending A because they paid attention to the status screen and noticed the seal rating, they saw the prolog movie and recognised the hints that the Valkyrie was the girl from the beginning based on the story bits, heavy with bread crumbs. The seal rating being separated from the evaluation digs at the completionist that sees it hold little effect in game. Then in later chapters you notice if you recruit every character that comes along and plunder every dungeon that some actions dropped the seal rating a lot. Once you see that you try to drop it all the way, and by the 7th chapter you see the story diverge from the B ending. BTB I love this game and own it.

This game had such a great influence on my life it's hard to describe, finished it I dunno how many times, it's easily the best RPG for the PS1, the story, the soundtrack, the combat, the world, everything is pure rpg mastery, and that A ending, oh boy, that A ending is such a masterwork, I'm yet to find another RPG that had a impact like that A ending

This game is definitely one of the best of the genre, any "best rpgs" list that does not contain this game is a insult to art and gaming itself

An amazing game. I first witnessed this game 21 year ago at the age of 10 when my brother was playing it and I had NO idea what was going. Even now, the mystery surrounding the game is so enchanting.

Picked up this game and Legend of Dragoon back in December of the year 2000 and I knew back then that this was a one of a kind experience. I've been a huge fan and have bought every game after day 1. Glad to see some love. I've been patiently waiting for over 12 years for the Hrist installment. In recent years, there's been some momentum but not the epic that we've been searching for. Please SE.

My favorite game hands down. I don't often replay games, but once in a while I pop out my PSP to play this gem again. Truly something special.
