USB drive doesn't show in file explorer

You know you have ago good USB drive, but you can't see it. Here's the fix.

i have been searching for a whole 20 minutes just for a 35 second video that fixed my problem thank you!

Every time I click change path it says the system cannot specify location

after the clean and add partition steps. I went into "Create and partition drives" and assigned the drive a letter, then it prompted formatting to NTFS and then it worked. YAY!!!

aw man so close! mine is a backup hard drive, and it does the same - makes the sound, hard drive turns on, is shown as icon at bottom right just like yours but nowhere to be found. I got to the disk manager but when I right clicked, the option to change the letter is GRAYED out :(

I have XP. I'll try to find something similar.
Yep. There's usually something good with a right-click menu.
My missing USB shows on the Defragment application, but not in File Manager.
