Any who's drive dissapeared after typing "clean", i had to go to computer management > drives > initialise drive (the one you just cleaned) > add new volume. violaa, hope this helps someone too :D

I have used this video so many times. I love how it just gets right to the point and just works. No loud song playing the entire time. No 10 minute intro asking for likes and to subscribe. No useless or wrong information. And he isn't using some horribly out of date version of Windows where none of these steps would work on modern systems. Process : run --> 'diskpart' --> 'list disk' --> 'select' + ' ' + Disk Number e.g. ' Disk 2' --> 'clean' --> 'create partition primary '. Done :-)

You can do abbreviations :

CMD(Admin mode)

format fs=ntfs quick
assign(driveletter is auto assigned)
exit
exit

No need to go through windows' GUI to make the format

Thank you! To those who's file explorer doesn't recognize the drive, as was the case with mine, you'll need to initialize it in Disk Management. Type in Computer Management in start and you should be able to find Disk Management in the window that pops up. From there, you may need to delete the volume on the drive, right click on it, and create a new simple volume. This assigns an actual drive letter to the storage. Worked for me.
