This is the exact reason I use desktop to finish my listings. I'll use the phone to upload the pictures, but finish on desktop. I wish the app had that box.

This is very true. I consulted with Casey a few weeks ago and changed all my listings to include the condition description. And my sales are up about three hundred percent! Thanks rock star flipper!

I have known about this for many years.
I leave it blank.
So, the question is, why doesn't ebay fix it?
Ebay has plenty of time to mess around with stupid things...I mean, like changing names or adding this, and taking away that. Etc, etc, etc.

I wish eBay would update their app to be useful for sellers, and in some cases buyers. It is a real watered down experience.

correct Casey, I stopped using the description box and instead put a pre-filled small paragraph about my store instead and add a couple of measurements in the condition box instead. I have been selling apparel on eBay for 25 years and my shoppers almost NEVER read/see the description box, they constantly were asking for measurements even though I was adding them. I noticed this a long time ago. I cant believe sellers leave that blank/aren't aware of how beneficial it is. I also noticed on mobile, buyer's can't even see the box so I always copy and paste my condition text into my description. That way my ass is covered in case a mobile buyer claims I didn't describe the item. Idk why Ebay's mobile app is soooo bad.

I only use my desktop when I want to list. Listing with my phone would be insane. I can't see all those tiny letters.
And, yes, I use the condition box on every listing, and I pour in lots and lots of details.

I can't imagine why one wouldn't fill in the condition box. Isn't the whole point to let the buyer know what they are getting? How about a video about sellers shooting themselves in the foot with AI generated descriptions.
